If you’re constantly on the move and just hate using a Laundromat to clean your clothes while you’re on the road you should look into buying a portable washing machine. Most portable washing machines are able to wash loads weighing five or six pounds and can do a great job washing a few clothes while you’re away from home.

Portable washing machines are great for apartments, dorms, condos or motor homes and can help keep you out of the neighborhood Laundromat which most people dislike going to. To supply the water all you need is a sink adapter with a hose (usually comes included) and the portable washer does the rest. Most portable washing machines come with various speed settings and are able to heat their own water, just like a conventional washing machine.

Provided you’ve got the water to spare you can just hook your washer up to your sink and you’re ready to start washing. Once you’re done washing you can just wheel it into a closet or a storage area until the next time you need to wash your clothes.

Now if you think you’re getting a small, cheap product when you’re buying a portable washing machine, you’re mistaken. Most portable washing machines are between 40 and 90 pounds so they are fairly large and able to fit quite a lot of clothes inside of it. The RPM of the spin cycle can get up around 600 RPM, which is fairly close to what a standard washing machine can do. Many of them also have noise reduction technology and have leveling legs to help balance the machine and further reduce noise.
