Industrial
Uniforms
Industrial uniforms are a very important part of a company's
business. Some industrial uniforms serve the purpose of identifying
workers by means of company logos attached to the uniforms. Other
companies use industrial uniforms for more important reasons
than identification of workers, they serve the purpose of keeping
workers safe in what could be potentially hazardous work conditions.
Industrial uniforms
can vary from shirts and hats to coveralls, hardhats, and even
goggles. A particular company decides what their standard for
industrial uniforms are. America has many companies that have
been producing quality industrial uniforms for many years, even
over a century. Carhartt clothing is a well-known maker and designer
of industrial uniforms and their company was founded in 1889!
Some very important characteristics need to be incorporated
into industrial uniforms, these include flame resistant industrial
uniforms, industrial uniforms suitable for extreme cold and
arctic temperatures. These types of industrial uniforms are
essential for workers such as fire fighters, or workers who
spend their days in freezers at arctic levels.
Some other quality brand names in industrial uniforms include
Key, Bulwark, Topps, Edwards, Red Kap, Dickies, and Wall.
Some examples of industrial uniforms and their items include
work shirts, denim jeans, bib overalls, hooded sweatshirts,
lined overalls, coveralls, head wear such as shields, snap
on hoods, hard hat liners and face masks, work coats and
lab coats, and parkas.
There are many different fabrics as well that are used for
industrial uniforms. Some of these fabrics are trademarked
and have become associated with certain lines of work. Here
are a few examples of some of the fabrics used in industrial
uniforms. Firewear is a flame resistant fabric that is used
in knit sweatshirts, t- shirts, and pants. Vinex is a combination
of vinyl and rayon. It is used in the aluminum industry to resist aluminum
splashes.
