Pressure Washers, Perfect Devices for Serious Cleaning
Electric pressure washers are mechanical devices to remove grime, mold, dust, mud and all kinds of dust from surfaces of buildings, vehicles and concrete roads by using high-pressure water.
Electric pressure washers consist of motorized water pump, a frame to hold the power source, high-pressure water pump, a high-pressure hose and a trigger gun.
Uses of the Pressure Washers
These are mainly used for heavy duty cleaning and can be used on almost all kind of materials like glass, vinyl, concrete, steel and so on. (Caution should be taken with porous materials like brick). With the facility to control the pressure, this device removes all kinds of stubborn stains, dust, grease, grime and rust marks. Although they are being widely used in household cleaning, the washers can also be used for industrial cleaning purposes. Electric pressure washers are lightweight and are thus easy to handle. You can easily get them at any hardware store.
Classification: Electric pressure washers can be classified into hot and cold types. Some models that generate hot water can be very useful for removing oil and grease. It can be electric, hydraulic, diesel-based or gasoline-based. They can also be classified on the basis of PSI (Pounds per square inch) and GPM (Gallons per minute). washers are also available with various options like rotating nozzles for covering larger area, brush attachments including rotating brushes, detergent attachment, soap sprayers, etc.
Functionality: The pressure pump inside the washers compresses the water inside and then lets it out from the hose opening under controlled pressure. You can adjust the pressure of the water coming out according to your need. The electric pressure washers can work much better than the ordinary garden hose. The water supply should be adequate for a washer attached to it as the pump is unable to draw excess water from the pipe.
Safety Measures: While using pressure washers you should carefully observe the safety measures, as mentioned in accompanying booklet. This is because the water while coming out of the nozzle is powerful enough to even strip flesh from bone. Moreover, objects in water supply can be ejected from the nozzle at tremendous velocities. While cleaning, there are chances of objects to be propelled from the surface being cleaned. You should aim the nozzle directly towards sophisticated elements like glass etc to avoid breakage due to tremendous pressure.
